Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon season 1 finished its run last month and received an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers and critics. Some have even labeled it as being better than the first season of Game of Thrones. The making of the first season took a lot of hard work, planning, patience, coordination between various departments, and a big budget. The series has already been renewed for a second season, and production will begin in Spain very early on in 2023.
According to a recent report by Redanian Intelligence, House of The Dragon has already begun its pre-production phase at the Leavesden studios, the base of Warner Bros’ operations in Watford, near London. However, it is unclear when the actual filming will begin for House of the Dragon Season 2.
So far, we know that the script has already been written as confirmed by writer and producer Sara Hess, and filming will take place for about 8 months, according to Ewan Mitchell (Aemond Targaryen). The filming is expected to begin in the spring of 2023. It might begin sooner if things go well for the cast and the crew.
