For most fans of the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon, Milly Alcock‘s portrayal of the young Princess Rhaenyra was nothing short of fantastic. Nevertheless, entering a franchise with one of the most vocal fan bases at the age of 22 is no small feat. A deleted scene involving her and baby Aegon was recently leaked, which would have added a new dimension to the character.
Young Rhaenyra taught baby Aegon how to say her name
Though the first season of House of the Dragon was a resounding success, fans wished that the show included a few more sequences that were cut. One of the scenes, leaked by Hotd Croatia fansite, Rhaenyra tried to get her stepbrother Aegon to say her name in the original Season 1 Episode 3 scene of the royal family traveling in a carriage to the hunt. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the sequence had to be reshot in a different way at a later time.
Milly Alcock won’t return in House of The Dragon’s flashback sequences
When asked about her return to the role, Alcock replied, “No. It’s done.”
“[House of the Dragon] changed my life very quickly and it will never be the same again,” Alcock continued. “Now I get to do all of the wonderful, amazing things that I really want to do, and I’m still figuring out what that is.”
“Your dreams shouldn’t be coming true at 21 and 22. It shouldn’t be allowed. I still need to f*ck up a bit more — like, I shouldn’t even be unsupervised this young on a day-to-day level.”
