Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon will feature some of the most famous dragons in Westerosi history, belonging to famous dragon riders over the years. One of the most highly awaited of the fiery beasts, King Jaehaerys I’s mount, Vermmithor, finally arrived on-screen in the final episode of Season 1. Being the third largest dragon of all time, fans were excited to see him, especially how closely it resembled the etchings of Douglas Wheatley from Fire & Blood.
Here’s how the fans reacted to Vermithor’s debut:

His granddaddy Jaeherys (the auld fella from the prologue)'s dragon, Vermithor, the Bronze Fury.
The only dragon even CLOSE to Vhagar's power and size.

Thats why I said Future Rider. Vermithor’s future rider, Hugh Hammer, who probably won’t be introduced until mid/end of season 2, allegiance hops and joins the greens. You kinda get your wish though, Dreamfyre will be riderless at some point during the war but not for long 💥🏰😈
