Game of Thrones Season 7 had a lot of iconic moments, but there was one that will set the tone for the final. Daenerys Targaryen went beyond the wall with her dragons, to save Jon Snow, and the others, and Viserion ends up getting killed by the Night King. Viserion is then raised from the dead by the Night King as a wight dragon. The end of Season 7 showed us the undead Viserion take down a huge chunk of the Wall down. HBO’s ‘The Game Revealed‘ now takes us behind the making of the undead Viserion. Read on!
As you might know already, ‘The Game Revealed’ is a seven episode series that focuses on taking the fans behind the scenes of Game of Thrones Season 7. The latest episode focused on ‘Beyond the Wall’, and showed how the undead Viserion was brought to life, with the use of heavy CGI. The episode also had an interview with ‘Beyond the Wall’ director Alan Taylor. He said :
“There was not a script when I spoke to Dave and Dan the first time about coming back [for season 7]. They told me the story and then they told me the details of the final scene.”
The blue eyes are apparently really hard to pull off :
“The eyes of the White Walkers and the wights have been such a prominent feature of the show and a lot of work has gone into the specifics of how the eyes look. To see that [hopefully] iconic image at this point blown to the size of a beachball, that seemed like it was a crowd-pleasingly ‘oh sh*t’ moment.”
