There is no dearth of streaming platforms these days. While the usual suspects like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are gaining strength with each passing day, there is also enough audience for others to come in and make their mark. With the current outbreak of Coronavirus, more people are at home than ever and that provides a great opportunity to new streaming platforms to gain the trust of the audience. Quibi is one of them and it is all set to launch on April 6.
Quibi already has many exciting projects lined and one of them already has Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanuel. Now, they have launched a nail-biting trailer of Survive starring Sophie Turner a.k.a. Sansa Stark of Thrones.
Here’s the super exciting trailer of Survive:
Survive is based on the 2012 thriller novel of the same name written by Alex Morel. Following is the synopsis of the series:
After a lengthy stay at a distant medical facility, Jane (Sophie Turner) was released and boarded a plane home where she meets fellow passenger Paul (Corey Hawkins). The plane ultimately crashes in a snowy and mountainous terrain with Jane and Paul as the sole survivors. Jane and Paul then embark on their journey of survival and the series explore their mission in the intriguing saga.
Turner has been in the news recently for blasting actress Evangeline Lilly for her insensitive comments on Coronavirus. Without naming the actress she had written on her Instagram:
“Here’s the tea. Stay inside. Don’t be fucking stupid! Even if you count your ‘freedom’ over…I don’t know, what is it…like your health! I don’t give a ffffff… about your freedom. You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you by doing this. So, stay inside guys. It’s not cool, and it’s not big, and it’s not clever. And that’s the tea!”
Beware of Sansa Stark! Coming back to the series, like all other Quibi programs, Survive will be considered as “Movie in Chapters” to meet the daily episode requirement. Don’t forget to tune in from April 6!
