Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is HBO’s one of the top priority projects. It is moving fast on its way to release in 2022. The production was faced with a minor setback when a cast and a crew member were found COVID positive recently, but they have moved on and resumed the filming from Wednesday. The crew of House of The Dragon is working day and night to make the show visually appealing. They are working with twice the effort to cover up for the days they lost due to the pandemic hit. And the show’s star Olivia Cooke couldn’t help but admire their earnest diligence.
In an interview with Collider, Cooke talked about the complexity of her character in House of The Dragon. She also praised the crew members who are working really hard to get the show ready as soon as possible.
She said, “The crew is a hundred strong. The artistry involved is mind-blowing. The sets that have been created are fucking gorgeous, and the costumes. Down to the tiny prop that you hold in your hands, there’s just so much thought that goes into it and so much history as well. It’s amazing to work on a film, a TV show, or anything where everyone is just so passionate about it.”
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the crew members who are working hard to present another cinematic masterpiece for us. What are your expectations from House of The Dragon? Tell us in the comments below!

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has already caused a huge stir amongst the fans. HBO is leaving no stones unturned to win back their audience post Game of Thrones era. They have already cast some of the key characters for the series. The first to join the show was Paddy Considine as King Viserys. Soon after, more important characters were confirmed, and the casting was revealed. Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith are set to play Alicent Hightower, Rhaenyra Targaryen and Daemon Targaryen respectively.
Recent, she talked to Collider about her upcoming film Naked Singularity. During the interview, she also talked about the Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon. She explained how complex her character Alicent Hightower can be.
“She’s very complex and I think people are gonna want to see the worst in her. It will take some time for an audience to fully understand her and her motivations. What’s amazing about Game of Thrones, like we saw in the past series, is that one season, you hate a character, and the next, you absolutely love them and will go to the ends of the earth for them. You just don’t know what you’re gonna get with these characters. They’re so well-written. Such is the human condition, you can do some horrendous things, but then you can also do some wonderful things as well. It’s very complex, and it’s not black and white at all.”
Earlier this year, Cooke confirmed there won’t be any egregious violence against women in House of The Dragon. Are you excited about the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel? Talk to us in the comments below!
Game of Thrones achieved massive popularity for basing its characters close to reality. They walk a grey path, which makes them all the more likeable. And it seems like Marvel is incorporating these values in their upcoming movies, such as the Eternals. Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden (Robb Stark) will be playing the role of Ikaris in the film. And he gave some clues about the morally ambiguous characters in the movie, even comparing them to the dark superheroes of Amazon’s The Boys.
In an interview with GQ, actor Richard Madden discussed his role as Ikaris in Eternals. Despite filming for Eternals having wrapped in January 2021, Madden mentioned ongoing reshoots and additional dialogue sessions as being ongoing, which led to some concerns from the actor, such as, “Do I still fit into that skintight superhero outfit after lockdown?”
Madden explained and showed that he would squint intensely on set with his “laser eyes,” a power he’ll have in the film: “Or lots of laser eyes, like that… [squints dramatically] …because I’ve got laser eyes.”
The actor insists in the interview that, because the characters are ancient and ageless beings who have experienced everything, it helps elevate the film “above just another superhero movie.”
The actor pointed to The Boys, a series that shows enhanced and immortal superheroes as flawed, narcissistic people hiding behind a public persona. Madden hopes that Eternals will accomplish something as interesting as that Amazon Prime series.
“We’ve done that classic thing…so it’s now about how do we make it more interesting? I’m hoping we have done that with Eternals. The Marvel Universe keeps changing and elevating and growing, and I really think we’re doing something that they’ve not done yet.”

Game of Thrones stars have established themselves really well in the filming industry. Kit Harington and Richard Madden are soon going to appear in Marvel’s Eternals, and now Emilia Clarke will soon be joining them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The news came out a few weeks ago, when she was cast into a secret role in Marvel’s Secret Invasion. Everyone knows Marvel is as strict as HBO execs when it comes to secrecy about their projects, something Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys on Game of Thrones for 8 seasons is familiar with. You would think that Marvel would give her the benefit of the doubt, but no, they are keeping her under surveillance all the time.
Talking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight’s Show, Clarke finally confirmed that she is working with Marvel on their new miniseries Secret Invasion. She said:
“Well, okay, so yeah, I’m pretty sure we can say it’s called Secret Invasion. I’m already scared! The first people I spoke to from Marvel were their security team and I am convinced that there is a man outside my house. There’s been a car parked there for a long time, and I swear to God, he’s undercover.”
Fallon voiced the idea that Marvel execs probably had a bit more trust invested in Emilia Clarke. After all, she went through eight seasons of Game of Thrones, where spoiler secrecy was often just as notable as the storytelling. She replied, “No, that’s what I thought! But they schooled me. And so…I don’t know what to do.”
