Game of Thrones Season 7 is less than two weeks away, with premiere set to air on July 16th. While the wait for this season has been a long one, fans have spent their time speculating how the important timelines will proceed in the next season. The most important reveal of last season was about Jon Snow‘s parentage, that he is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhegar Targaryen, which was a fan theory that got confirmed after decades of speculations. This big reveal came with its set of terms and conditions, the biggest one of which right now, is that Jon doesn’t yet know that he’s not actually Ned Stark‘s bastard. Being the huge fandom that it is, there is no shortage of fan theories in the Game of Thrones fandom. A new fan theory now discusses how Jon might actually find out about his parentage.
We have previously discussed another theory about how Jon will figure out his true parentage, but a new report published by TIME discusses a new fan theory that apparently popped up at the Game of Thrones fan convention, Con of Thrones. The theory says Jon will know that he’s a Targaryen, through Daenerys’ dragons. YouTuber Rawrist said :
“How cool would that be for the dragons to recognize [Jon]. He’s a dragon seed at the very least — he has Targaryen blood in him. If he went to the dragons and one of the dragons came to him — especially [Rhaegal], the one named after his biological dad — and the dragon recognizes him and bows its head and lets him get on it…”
This will actually line up nicely with the theory which talks about the three heads of the Dragon, which says that the three dragons will be mounted by three people. While Daenerys is the first, there are speculations over who the other two are. Tyrion showed a similar rapport with the dragons, last season, adding fuel to the theory that Tyrion is a Targaryen, and the word is that Jon will see the same, completing the theory.
What do you think about this theory? Do you have any other theories about how Jon will discover his parentage? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
