Game of Thrones had a stellar Season 6, and the filming for the next season is still undergoing. Season 7 is set to premiere in the summer of 2017. While we wait for summer to come by, we have been surviving on spoilers, cast interviews and such. We got a big load of interviews at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony held last week, and one of those, in particular, caught our attention, starring none other than Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos on the show.
Liam Cunningham talked about the filming of the series. Talking about Season 7, and then Season 8, he said :
“We’re still filming. We don’t finish until the end of [February]. That’s seven episodes. And then we start again in September and there’s a final six.”
Check out the clip below :
We have had a few indicators that the filming of Season 7 is scheduled to finish by the end of February. What’s new is that Liam revealed that the filming of Season 8 will begin in September.
This isn’t really surprising, but more of a confirmation, considering the filming of Season 7 began in September last year, too. However, every season before that was shot more or less between July and December. We’re guessing the delay in premiere of Season 7 and finishing of its filming has pushed the schedule for Season 8 back to September, which was apparently intentional in the first place, considering the production wanted to shoot the winter scenes in actual winter itself.
We are guessing winter will last for more than just Season 7, then? The final book in the series of books on which Game of Throne is based, is supposed to be called “A Dream of Spring“, which means we could see some sunshine in at least a few of the final episodes of season 8, we hope. Either way, we will have to sit through a lot of speculations and news before we finally find out.
What do you think is going to happen in season 7? Will we get a sunny season 8? Talk to us in the comments, below!
