This year’s big project is from Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, who plays the role of Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, and it’s a BBC miniseries titled Gunpowder. We recently reported about the show being aired on the other side of the globe by HBO. He recently discussed the show in an interview. Read on!
Kit talked about the show with BBC One, in a video interview. Checking it out, below :
Kit has co-produced the show, and also starred in it. He plays the role of Robert Catesby, the mastermind of the Gunpowder plot, who was also his paternal ancestor. He says :
“I thought, ‘why has no one told this story? We know about Guy Fawkes. We know a bit about the gunpowder under Parliament . . . but we don’t know about Robert Catesby, Thomas Wintour, [Thomas] Bates, the servant–we don’t know about these other characters and they’re so fascinating. This would make a great drama.”
Kit also described the show as a “story of persecution…a historical thriller,” and compared it to a chase movie. The show airs in the U.S. fromDecember 18 to December 20 at 10:00 p.m. every night. Excited to watch it, or have you already? Tell us in the comments, down below!
