Very often we idolize celebrities from our favourite shows and movies. When we think of them, their lifestyle, their riches and wardrobe glistens in front of our eyes. We as fans want to be like them, but sometimes forget the struggles they’ve been through to get there. Game of Thrones macho man, Jason Momoa, is one of the most down-to-earth actors one has ever seen. In an interview with InStyle, the actor talked about his struggles in real life.
“I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones,” he said. “I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt.” Things got better for him after being cast as the Aquaman in Justice League. His solo movie Aquaman solidified his position as a great actor.
The 41-year-old actor also talked about being bullied when young. “I got beat up a lot,” he said. “Just for being slightly different—it was gnarly. I mean, I wore Birkenstocks in middle school, and it was like, ‘You are a freak!’”
It is tough to imagine, someone who played the fierce Khal Drogo had to face bullying at school. Also, the interview proves the fact that celebrities have real-life problems too. You can be broke even if you’re famous.
