Game of Thrones Season 8 is the last one of the bunch, and it is set to be the best one too. The story is at a point where it needs a climax, a crescendo. Season 7 did a great job establishing the beginning of the end, and we can’t wait to see how Season 8. It’s a long time away, but the hype has already begun! Jason Momoa, who played the role of Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, recently said that Game of Thrones Season 8 will be the best thing to have ever aired on TV! Read on!
Jason Momoa recently talked to Entertainment Weekly about Game of Thrones Season 8. He said :
“Just knowing how amazing this season is going to be… It’s going to be the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV. It’s going to be unbelievable. It’s going to f— up a lot of people. And it was a bummer because I’m a huge fan and I didn’t want to know what’s going on. I was like, ‘Damn, I didn’t want to know that!”
Talking about the rumors that he might make a return as Khal Drogo, Momoa dismissed the idea :
“I just showed up to see [producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss] and I just happened to see people on set. I haven’t been over there in a long time. You just want to see your friends and you end up make headlines going, ‘Drogo’s back!’ and I’m like, ‘He’s dead! He can’t come back, it wouldn’t work.’”
He apparently loves Tormund Giantsbane, and has always wanted to meet Kristofer Hivju. Being a huge fan of the show, he did fanboy over Season 7. He apparently loved “The Spoils of War,” which showed the Dothraki tribe on the battlefield :
“All last season I was jumping around like an idiot. Seeing the Dothraki riding over the hill, going into battle, surfing their horses, it was unbelievable. It was such a cool scene. It’s also a bummer moment: Why couldn’t [Drogo] have died there! I could have died in battle. We never got to see Drogo going into battle.”
He also spoke about Viserion turning into an ice dragon :
“Seeing [Jon Snow and his companions] on that [frozen lake] island, white walkers all around, and the dragon turns into a white walker…. You’re just like: What? Now I have to wait a year and a half?”
Well, about that long wait to see what happens next, Jason Momoa is all of us. Excited for Season 8? We sure are! Talk to us in the comments, down below!
