The sixth episode of the new HBO hit The Last of Us arrived just a day ago, leaving the fans shocked and in tears. Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Tommy’s (Gabriel Luna) fateful reunion was as emotional as one expected, but what left the fans in utter disbelief was the episode’s ending. Looking for the Firefly hideout at the University of Eastern Colorado, Joel and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) are ambushed, and Joel gets fatally wounded in the skirmish that follows. The two somehow escape, but Joel loses consciousness at the end and falls off the horse.
The final scene left a lot of people worried about Joel, and whether he would survive the brutal stabbing.

Spoiler Alert: For those who are worried about Joel’s safety, worry not, Joel will make a full recovery, but it will take some time. The scene is inspired by the original video game, where Joel is impaled in a similar skirmish but in a more brutal fashion, and is close to death, but survives with Ellie’s help, who is left to fend for herself and Joel for a couple of months.
