Actor Steve Toussaint, who plays Corlys Velaryon on the show, recently shared a picture of a clapboard prop from the party, and it has several interesting details. House of the Dragon Season 2 adds a third filming unit
House of the Dragon’s first season featured two primary filming units, Fire and Blood, named after the prequel anthology book Fire & Blood, which served as the basis for the television series. “Blood unit” is the traveling unit that filmed in Spain and Portugal, while “Fire unit” is the new home unit filming in England. The board presumably mentions these two units, along with a new one called “Splinter” whose role is currently unknown.
According to the clapboard, the Blood unit might’ve filmed for 101 days, while Fire and Splinter have filmed for 124 and 28 days respectively.
