If there’s one thing that the Game of Thrones franchise has always been great at so far, it would definitely be its casting. Even the GOTverse progenitor George R. R. Martin is in awe of them. Game of Thrones has showcased some of the best; absolute gems of the acting industry, and the prequel House of The Dragon has managed to repeat the same feat. Milly Alcock did a great job as a young Rhaenyra Targaryen, and she has landed yet another incredible role.
Milly Alcock heads to the West End!
Alcock recently announced on Instagram that she will be joining the Arthur Miller classic “The Crucible”, a National Theatre production heading to West End this summer. She expressed her delight by captioning the post: “Words cannot describe what a dream come true this is!! 🥹 everyone come and see the Crucible this summer !!”

What is The Crucible about?
The official synopsis of the play reads: “Raised to be seen but not heard, a group of young women suddenly find their words have a terrible power. As a climate of fear spreads through the community, private vendettas fuel public accusations and soon the truth itself is on trial.”
Alcock will be taking on the role of Abigail Williams, one of the play’s leading characters, from June 7 through to September 2.
When will House of The Dragon return?
The filming of House of The Dragon season 2 is currently in pre-production, with the casting currently in progress. HBO chief Casey Bloys has confirmed in an indirect way that House of The Dragon won’t be coming back before the summer of 2024.
