Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently filming, and all eyes are on the set and casting updates. We recently talked about the latest casting update, and there was a character that will definitely raise a few eyebrows. The character is named Sarra, and the best theory at hand right now might bring back House Frey, back from nonexistence, in Season 8. Read on!
Now, as we reported earlier,Danielle Galligan has been cast as a character named Sarra, for Game of Thrones Season 8, according to her resume. No further details are known, but there is one possible and likely conclusion. The only character to bear that name in the books, is Sarra Frey.
Sarra Frey is the granddaughter of Walder Frey, and while there’s a good chance it’s just a random name, for an entirely different character, we can’t help but hope that it will give House Frey some sort of life in Season 8!
Now, as we know, Arya Stark killed Walder Frey and about almost every Frey there was, but seems like there could still be one left. According to Danielle’s resume, she will appear in an episode of Season 8 directed by David Nutter. Sarra actually appeared in the Red Wedding episode, “The Rains of Castamere,” as one of the Frey women presented to Robb Stark, but this is a possible recasting, not a rare occurrence.
Also, Danielle’s resume says she is “certified [in] rapier & dagger,” so we can hope for a fight sequence. Maybe she’s going to be one with the vengeance.
What do you think about this? Could House Frey make a limited comeback before all men die? Tell us in the comments, down below!
