Game Of Thrones finally aired the 6th episode of Season 8 and with it the show has finally come to an end. The series finale started off immediately where the previous episode ended. It showed us the aftermath of Daenerys’ sack of King’s Landing. Before we move ahead, it’s important to let you know that this article contains SPOILERS from the latest episode. So please turn back if you don’t want to see any spoilers.
The episode started with a shocked Tyrion, Jon Snow and Davos walking through King’s Landing and seeing the destruction that was caused by Daenerys Targaryen. She didn’t spare anyone and we saw that the Unsullied were still unsatisfied and they continued executing Lannister soldiers in the latest episode. In the span of one episode, Daenerys and her army turned from heroes to villains.
Daenerys finally conquered King’s Landing and had a big Targaryen sigil banner hanging prominently on a wall and it reminded me of the time when Daenerys captured Meereen and her soldiers did the same at the top of the Great Pyramid.
Jon and Grey Worm had an argument and for a moment it felt as if there would be a fight between the Unsullied and Stark soldiers.
Tyrion decided that he could no longer serve Daenerys and threw away the Hand of the Queen pin and he was immediately arrested.
We got to see Tyrion’s trial in the Dragonpit.
Noble houses from all over Westeros had arrived for the trial and it was nice to see all members of House Stark present in King’s Landing.
Edmure Tully tried to nominate himself as the King of Westeros and was immediately asked to sit down by Sansa.
For killing Daenerys Targaryen, Jon was sent to the Night’s Watch.
Just like her ancestor, Ser Duncan the Tall, Brienne of Tarth became the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.
UPDATE: HBO has now posted a new set of photos from the episode. Take a look at these photos below:
