Game of Thrones Season 7 ended a few days ago, and we are already starting to hear things about Season 8 production. We recently reported about the Dothraki huts that were spotted in Belfast, and now we have something even bigger. HBO has started with the casting for Season 8, and they’ve announced a casting call for two roles. Read on!
The news comes from an exclusive report from Game of Thrones fan site Watchers on the Wall. The report says the auditions will happen in the UK, for two parts, and both the parts are for child actors! The report also has some details about the parts.
The first part is a Northern Girl, aged 8. The call is accepting actresses upto age 10. The description says that the character is a “straight-talking Northern-accented girl, someone remarkable for her dauntlessness and integrity.” It also notes that the character is from a family of soldiers and is fearless. The role will begin filming November 17th.
The second call is for a Boy aged 8 – 12. The character needs an actor with “a physically fit and agile look, someone with a good, distinctive face.” The description says the boy is from a poor background, and “has to fight to make his way in the world.” The part requires the actor to “completely own the scenes that he appears in,” which means it’s an important character, and not just a single appearance.
Now, there’s a good chance both these characters are from flashbacks, as there won’t be much of a premise to accommodate them in the present, given the current pace of the show. What do you think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
