The Game of Thrones cast is like a family, and if there’s any proof of that, it’s the bond between Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke. The duo, that played Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen, respectively, were one of the best pairings on the show, and still remain friends to this day. Their latest reunion occurred at The Sundance Film Festival 2023 when the two met and shared a moment, seeing each other after a really long time. Momoa and Clarke were present at The Sundance Film Festival to promote their new films. Clarke’s The Pod Generation kicked off the premiere at the festival. She stars opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor in The Pod Generation, a near-future social satire in which a corporation has invented a detachable egg-shaped “womb,” allowing couples to bring their babies to term externally. The technology is marketed to spare women from the physical complications of pregnancy — while conveniently keeping its inventor’s female employees at the office, and free of “distractions” from work.
While Momoa was promoting his documentary Deep Rising, which explores the extraction of metals from the ocean floor to power the electric battery industry. He also took the opportunity to condemn the widespread use of single-use plastics and their detrimental effect on the planet.
