Game of Thrones, with all its Easter eggs and subtle indications has a knack of driving fans crazy, and if you thought that season 6 wasn’t one that contained an emotional throwback to season 1, you’d be totally wrong. Game of Thrones season 6 majorly focused on Jon Snow and his journey back from the dead and eventually to regaining Winterfell with Sansa Stark, and their touching sibling bond left us all teary eyed by the end. Season 6 seemed to reflect a lot of Ned Stark in Jon Snow, and though Ned might be Jon’s uncle, his Stark traits outweigh the Targaryen ones.
In one of the scenes of season 6, we saw Jon and Sansa looking over the grounds of Winterfell as Lady Melisandre galloped away after being banished. Later, we see Sansa and Jon share a conversation where Jon lovingly tells Sansa to trust him and that they now have a lot of enemies to face. A Redditor matched this conversation to a similar one that Ned Stark had with his younger daughter Arya back in season 1 at King’s Landing. Ned tells Arya that they shouldn’t fight each other as they’ve come to a dangerous place.
Though after the scene in season 1, we saw Ned’s descent towards his doom, we hope the same does not happen with Jon as well in season 7!
