Fan theories are a common occurrence when there is no Game of Thrones being aired to get us through our mundane lives, and many of these fan theories, brilliant as they might be, do not usually make it to the show or the books. However, there are some that do *cough* R+L=J *cough* come true. One such fan theory that did not come true this season, as it appears, is the one about Arya Stark and the Waif. The theory said that the Waif was just the representation of Arya’s subconscious, and that she was someone who had to be killed by Arya in order for the Stark girl to become ‘No One’ at last. Though we saw Arya do her thing and walk out of the House of Black and White, practically announcing that she was barely ‘No One’, a lot of fans were expecting this theory to come true, since it was quite creative in all honesty.

But Faye Marsay, the actress who plays the Waif has just revealed during the San Diego Comic Con that this theory, although a cool one, isn’t actually true. She said,“I think the theory was a cool one, but I think Arya is Arya and that’s her journey and I think the way it is now is the best way. The theory is good and it’s creative but they’ve got it right, the writers.”
