Although we landed and spent quite some time Dragonstone in Game of Thrones, there was only ever passing mentions of Driftmark. Driftmark and Dragonstone are quite close in proximity and the first has been the seat of House Velaryon after they sailed west. In the prequel spinoff of the show, House of the Dragon, we finally get a look into the magnificent castle High Tide and its shimmering coastline. Here’s how fans reacted to the first visit to Driftmark in episode 5.

🔵This weeks episode will show Driftmark and looks like the most beautiful castle for me: sophisticated, mysterious but natural.
I think it’s totally the opposite way I imagined Manderly’s interior castle. Even when it had a spoiler of Velaryon’s #HouseOfTheDragon emblem 🐴🐟 pic.twitter.com/RM6X1fCTaD— Fran Vegas (@fvegasart) September 16, 2022
I wasn't expecting this whole Driftmark sequence to be so good omg.
