Game of Thrones is one of the most famous shows in the whole world. However, almost seven years in, now, it’s not only a show, but a pop-culture phenomenon. We’ve seen the show being a subject of a lot of skits and gags, ranging from talk shows to YouTube videos, and even references being made to it in other shows, like that time Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother suggested that King Joffrey was a “wise leader.” Now it’s the turn for Family Guy, the popular animated sitcom which specializes at mocking everything that moves. In the last episode, Family Guy ripped off Game of Thrones, and it was actually quite funny!
Family Guy currently runs in Season 15, and in the last episode, episode 18, Game of Thrones and Ballers, the HBO show starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson, were the subject of a small sketch. The scene starts with the talking dog, Brian, complaining about him not being able to write, because of noise, and Stewie, the talking baby who’s sole purpose is world domination, ends up suggesting that the pair should start a Bed and Breakfast, which leads to Brain recalling his time in the Night’s Watch. Watch the clip below :
Brian is seen to undergo the Jon Snow storyline, getting stabbed, with “For The Watch” echo, until Peter Griffin, shows up with a “Hi, Brian”, before he stabs Brian, and suggests that he’s playing the role of Samwell Tarly. Chris, Stevie’s older brother, then shows up dressed all fancy, and claims to be Ballers, which leads him to getting stabbed, repeatedly, to which Chris’s response is that he gets it. Apparently the Night’s Watch has more reasons to hate Ballers than it has for Jon Snow.
We think that this one is downright hilarious, especially the part where Peter claimed to be Samwell. What do you think about this gag? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
