Barely anyone noticed him there, but once he got the role he was born for, Stranger Thing’s Eddie Munson, he became a fan-favorite and a household name. As per Entertainment Weekly, the new book is called Stranger Things: Flight of Icarus. It is written by Caitlin Schneiderhan and will follow Eddie Munson’s journey in 1984, two years before the incidents in Stranger Things Season 4. The book is being published by Penguin Random House and will launch on October 31, 2023.

According to the book’s synopsis, Eddie will get the opportunity to pursue a musical career with his band Corroded Coffin, however it will come at a huge cost. To pay for his dream, Eddie will be forced to join his father’s dubious schemes.

Fans love Eddie, and a lot of them were wishing really hard that he would return in the final season. However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy denied the rumors, saying, “Highly unlikely. Highly unlikely. But, we hear you, world. We know. You’re obsessed with Eddie. So were we.”
