SPOILER ALERT! This post contains Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers! Consider yourself warned!
Game of Thrones has had a fantastic cast over the years, with a lot of experienced actors starring in the series, as well as newcomers shooting to stardom because of their roles in the series.Season 6 had a lot of bloodshed, with quite a few important characters dying, which naturally meant that we wouldn’t be seeing the actors who played them return for Season 7. Now we have learned that one of those actors is about to return for the next season. Read on!
Popular Game of Thrones news portal,Watchers on the Wall, said in areportthat David Bradley, who played Walder Frey in Game of Thrones, will return for Season 7. This news stems from the fact that the actor’s résumé on thewebsiteofUnited Artists agency, states that he will star in Season 7 of Game of Thrones. The actor has previously appeared in seasons 1, 3, and 6.
Now, from what we remember of David Bradley’s character, Walder Frey, we know that he was responsible for the bloodshed of the Starks at the Red Wedding, and at the end of Season 6, Arya Stark got him back, slicing his throat while feeding him a ‘Frey pie’ cooked from the meat of his sons. How could he still be in the series?
Well, there are a few possibilities. Firstly, having been trained by the Faceless Men, Arya could be impersonating Walder Frey. The reason behind us rallying after this possibility is that themassive Season 7 plot leakfrom reddit which happened last year, indicated that Arya would be putting on the face of Walder Frey to kill more of his sons. Now, we could ignore the story leak, but a few other bits from the leak have been coming together, piece by piece, as filming details leaked, and now we’re afraid that the whole leak could actually be true.
The other, less likely possibility is that David Bradley will play Frey in a flashback, or in one of Bran Stark‘s visions. However, we’ll still stick to the former one. Watch out for more Frey pies!
