For the past week, Spain has been in the news for Game of Thrones season 7 filming, and a lot of significant stuff has gone down, most of which includes a number of spoilers. With all this exciting matter going on, we can’t forget that Northern Ireland is also housing some of the major cast and crew as filming continues there. Since a chunk of filming for Winterfell usually takes place in Northern Ireland, and the fact that Winter is finally here, it was only a matter of time until filming took place in regions where winter is ruling. Recent reports suggest that Game of Thrones is filming on the fields near Kinnahalla outside Hilltown with fake snow.
The production was spotted at the location, andThe Outlookhas obtained some pictures. Check them out below:
Since the pictures are taken from quite a distance, actors can’t be clearly seen.
A line of people on horseback will go through the snowy landscape.
The Outlook says that the filming is serious, and that there is “a major production presence with cranes, lorries and temporary structures set up.”
Goya Photographyproduced a closer look.
This location could be anywhere because Winter is Here, so we can’t really fixate on where in Westeros this is happening.
However, if we were to speculate, the location is somewhere in the North, and it could be the scene of Bran Stark heading to Winterfell. The line of horses may be some Night’s Watchmen escorting him and Meera to Jon Snow.
It could also be Arya passing this place while going to Winterfell if that’s where she’s deciding to go, and it could be something else entirely. Let us know in the comments what you think the location could play as on Game of Thrones season 7.
