Game of Thrones has a lot of things going well for it, and one of the biggest ones is how it portrays relationships, especially sibling relationships. They range from the incestuous Lannisters to the murderous Cleganes. Talking about the latter, their sibling rivalry is at such a point now that a major sect of the Game of Thrones is rallying for a fight between the two to happen, which is dubbed as Cleganebowl. Now, the brand new Season 7 trailer released this week dropped a hint that Cleganebowl might happen this season! Read on!
So what is the premise for Cleganebowl? Basically Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) and his brother, Sandor Clegane (The Hound) want each other dead. The huge burn on The Hound’s face was given to him by his brother when they were kids. They have fought before, in Season 1, but didn’t quite go like we wished it would. Since then, the two haven’t been around each other. At one point, the possibility of us seeing Cleganebowl happen was erased, as we believed The Hound to be dead. However since his return last season, which showed him alive and well, and back in business, we have newfound hope. Cleganebowl even has its own subreddit, now!
As we had recently reported, Rory McCann, the actor who plays The Hound, recently dropped a hint that Cleganebowl might happen. Now, HBO themselves might have let slip that we might see it happen, in the latest Season 7 trailer.
Now, if you haven’t watched the second Season 7 trailer already, watch it here.

The interesting thing to note over here is the location at which the Hound is present. This is the Italica, which has been used as the Dragonpit in the upcoming season and if you take a look at the above scene in the trailer, you can see a Lannister soldier standing in the background and we know that where there’s Cersei Lannister, there’s the Mountain and when you bring together the Hound and the Mountain, you have the Cleganebowl! Now this is just an assumption on our end and it might be possible that the Hound fights against someone else in the Dragonpit but wouldn’t it be wonderful if it really is the Mountain against whom he’s fighting?
What is your take on this? Think we’re gonna see Cleganebowl soon? Or are we just reading way too much into this? Talk to us in the comments, below!
