Over the last six years of its runtime, Game of Thrones has succeeded in having a cast which is brilliant. We’ve praised the cast time and again, mostly because of how well it does justice to the characters, and because of how consistent the production has been, while adding new members to the cast. One of the most iconic faces of this generation of British TV, Mark Gatiss, has been a part of this amazing cast, too, and now he has confirmed that we will be seeing him again in Game of ThronesSeason 7 of the show. Read on!
If you can’t remember who Mark Gatiss is, let us refresh your memory. He plays Tycho Nestoris, the Iron Banker, and appeared in Seasons 4 and 5. Apart from playing this role on Game of Thrones, he is also a showrunner on Dr. Who and Sherlock, and plays the role of Mycroft Holmes on the latter. Talking to Express.co.uk, Mark Gatiss revealed that he’ll be back on the HBO screen. He said :
“Yes, I did in Belfast last year. I can’t tell you anything more obviously, mostly because I don’t know anything. It was lovely. What I love about it is that I don’t have any stake in it.”
Talking about plot details, Gatiss said :
“I honestly don’t know the ins and outs. People ask me this, that and the other, I haven’t got a clue. I’ve done four episodes now and there’s two more they think. It’s a huge saga and I don’t know and I rather like that. But I’ve had a lovely time.
The last scene I’m in with – I probably can’t say because it would be a spoiler, wouldn’t it?”
This is somewhat a spoiler, because Gatiss just confirmed that his character will return for two more episodes, for Season 8. It will be interesting to see what role his character plays in the end-game. What do you think? Tell us in the comments, down below!
