Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving fast with its production, and we can expect a spring release in 2022. Most of the main characters have been cast, and HBO has officially declared who’s playing who in the much-awaited prequel. With set pictures leaking quite often on the internet, the fans are getting a glimpse of more cast members in action. The official teaser trailer grabbed a lot of attention, and a lot of people were simply ‘wowed’ by it, including Game of Thrones alum Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. And he is equally as excited as the fans for the upcoming prequel series.
Coster-Waldau played the fan-favorite Ser Jaime Lannister on Game of Thrones. So the hosts of Good Morning America were curious to know his views about the prequel. He replied:
“I think it’s a two-edged sword, right? Cause I think they’ll get a lot of attention when they come out, a lot of eyes. That’s the good thing. The trick is that nobody knows these characters, so hopefully people will stick around. But I thought it looked incredible. Matt Smith just rocks that white wig so well. I was just waiting for Emilia Clarke to show up, it’s the world of the Targaryens. I can’t wait to watch that show, for sure.”
Well, Coster-Waldau’s expectation of seeing Emilia Clarke once again as Daenerys might fail, because the show is set about 200 years prior to Game of Thrones but we know that the trailer did indeed leave a lasting impression.
