Game of Thrones was like a huge family, consisting of varied personalities coming together to make a great show. No matter how adverse their roles were on-screen, they were quite friendly in real life. Take for example, the case of Cersei’s torturer Septa Unella. The two characters couldn’t see eye to eye in the fantasy series. However, in real life, Hannah Waddingham (Unella) and Lena Headey are close friends. Actor Brenock O’Connor, who played the role of young Olly in the show, misses his time on Game of Thrones, and regrets not getting any time to bond with his Game of Thrones co-star Stephen Dillane (Stannis Baratheon) in their new show.

Brenock and Stephen are working together in Alex Rider, based on Anthony Horowitz’ hit series of young adult novels. Brenock is playing Alex’s best friend, Tom, while Dillane is playing the head of the Department of Special Operations.

In a recent interview with Express.uk, Brenock recalled, “It’s weird like I was a kid on Thrones. I started when I was 13 and left when I was 15. I would not have blamed him if Stephen didn’t remember me. Cause I’m a different dude. I wouldn’t recognize me if I worked with me as a kid then I walked into the room. But it’s a nice little thing of going, ‘Oh yeah, we did that together. So… nice!. But as with all the spy stuff we’re kept in very separate worlds and separate scenes. So it really is just a unit base or passing in the makeup trailer rather than sat reminiscing in the green room.”
