Episode three of the final season has come and gone and with it, so has winter. All anybody can talk about is the terrible lighting. Oh yeah, and that the Night King is as dead as a Dodo. We have everybody’s favourite assassin to thank for that. With a flying leap and a seriously sick knife trick, the biggest baddie of them all was left looking about as lively as a doornail. Arya first showed off this move in season seven, while sparring with Brienne in the courtyards of Winterfell.
Clearly, years of grueling training with the Faceless Men paid off big time given how she pretty much made short work of an army with the potential to wipe out humanity. As far as badasses go, Arya takes the cake (dagger?). We’d gladly bend the knee before her.
Game of Thrones fans from across the world have decided to pay tribute to that particularly nifty piece of knife work. Now they might not have a Valyrian steel dagger at their disposal but being a resourceful lot, they’ve made do with everything ranging from hairbrushes to carrots. Called the #AryaChallenge, #TheArya and even #NotToday (Syrio Forel might not have lasted long, but his little life philosophy certainly did), this challenge is taking social media by storm.

Game of Thrones is a show full of great cameo appearances, and Season 8 carries that tradition. Earlier in Season 8, we saw a former CIA deputy director make a cameo. More recently, in today’s episode — Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 4, “The Last of the Starks“, we saw a Starbucks cup make an appearance. However, it seems as if that wasn’t the only cameo in the scene. Read on!
Game of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and Dan Weiss appeared in the same scene as the one with Starbucks cup. The scene has Tormund praise Jon Snow in front of others, while Dany sits back, paranoid about how Jon seems to be liked more than she is. When the shot switches to Jon Snow’s back, we see two Wildling men, who are very obviously David and Dan.
OH MY GOD, the showrunners were literally in the same scene as the Starbucks cup. pic.twitter.com/TS7wNPUCDf

We just see David and Dan just smiling and laughing at Tormund’s drunk rant. They don’t have any lines. Although you would want them to have a slightly more noticeable appearance, the show being this late in its life, there wasn’t much room. Also, seeing as to how the Starbucks cup made it into the same scene, we’re hoping it was a tongue-in-cheek easter egg, although that seems unlikely.
What do you guys think of this cameo? Did you notice David and Dan on the first watch? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
Game of Thrones has never been good at keeping the leaks away, and Season 8 has been no different. So far, we have seen leaks for episode one, two, three, and with hours left for episode 4 to air, we have new season 8 leaks! Important bits from Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 4 have leaked online, in pics and clips. Read on!
The 4th episode has leaked in pictures and clips on a Facebook Group, which appears to be from Thailand. The leakers posted a few pictures, i.e. screenshots, as well as a couple of clips. These have been since then reposted to Reddit. The clips and pictures reveal quite a lot of what happens in the episode and are likely some of the biggest moments from the episode.
From what we can tell you, spoiler-free, is that two major scenes have been leaked, and one minor. There is also a leak that can be potentially game-changing but has not been confirmed with enough evidence yet. That’s not it, apparently, the Thai group members even have gone to the lengths of demanding money in return for not leaking the whole episode.
We, however, advise you to wait a few hours and watch it yourselves. The clip quality isn’t great, and you will be left wanting more, for sure, because this episode seems to be much more than just a filler episode before “The Last War”.
Good luck keeping yourself together when the episode drops. Be careful, for the net is dark and full of spoilers!
Game of Thrones is halfway through its final season, and while we hate the fact that the show is ending, we still have quite a lot to look forward to. While it might take a while before we get the remaining two (or possibly even more) books in the series, it looks like we’re looking good on the prequels, a.k.a the spin-off series. Creator of the Game of Thrones universe, author George R. R. Martin, recently gave an update on these spin-off shows. Read on!
Geroge has been mostly off finishing up The Winds of Winter, but he recently took to his Not a Blog to talk about a few things. He discussed how much he loved Avengers: Endgame, and then proceeded to give us an update on the spin-off shows:
“Oh, and speaking of television, don’t believe everything you read. Internet reports are notoriously unreliable. We have had five different GAME OF THRONES successor shows in development (I mislike the term “spinoffs”) at HBO, and three of them are still moving forward nicely. The one I am not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year, and two other shows remain in the script stage, but are edging closer. What are they about? I cannot say. But maybe some of you should pick up a copy of FIRE & BLOOD and come up with your own theories.”
We had initially heard that there were five spin-off series, one of which has moved on with its production, with the pilot being ordered by HBO. Another one has been shelved. Now we have a confirmation that there are three spin-offs that will get to at least the pilot stage.
Until that happens, let’s enjoy Game of Thrones Season 8. The next episode drops Sunday, 5th May. Talk to us in the comments, down below!
