Game of Thrones Season 7 finale ‘The Dragon and the Wolf’ was quite a ride. One of the best scenes was the Dragonpit scene, where we saw so many characters coming together in one place as Jon Snow tried to get Cersei Lannister to agree to a truce to fight the real threat : White Walkers.
Now, we all saw what a grand entrance Daenerys Targaryen made with Drogon, and we saw Cersei give her a look which just screamed disgust. Lena Headey, who plays the role of Cersei Lannister on the show recently spoke about what Cersei was actually thinking at that moment, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Read on!
Lena spoke of the entrance :
“I think she’s immediately envious because Daenerys is more beautiful and younger than she is and the prophecy says somebody younger and more beautiful will take her place so I’m sure that’s at the forefront of her mind. And Tyrion is her Hand, so she couldn’t be any worse.”
The prophecy she’s speaking about is what Maggy the Frog told a teenage Cersei, shown back in Season 5. She also told her that her kids will die, and so far her words seem to have held well. As you might remember, Cersei pledged to have her forces fight alongside Daenerys and Jon’s, against the White Walkers, but it is later revealed that it was just a lie. Speaking of this, Lena said :
“I think her lie will be very shocking. She’s such a bitch. She’s so unforgiving of everybody.”
Well, the lie has pretty much pushed Jaime Lannister away from her, so it seems like Cersei will have a lonely Season 8. What do you think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
