Game of Thrones Season 8 filming is back to full swing after the short break. We recently had reported about the increased activity at the Winterfell set, and the exciting night time shoots, and now we have lead cast sightings! Emilia Clarke, who plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen, and Kit Harington, who portrays Jon Snow, are back in Iceland for Game of Thrones Season 8 filming. Read on!
Now, we know that Iceland stands in for a large chunk of Game of Thrones filming. While Northern Ireland has the Titanic Studios at Belfast, Northern Ireland, which has been standing in for King’s Landing, as sources say, while the Winterfell set is buzzing at Moneyglass, Iceland has stood in previously for the icy parts of filming. In the midst of increased activity, a Game of Thrones fan took to Facebook to report sighting Emilia and Kit back in Iceland for Season 8 :
Well, if the Dragons pass by you, you surely have the seven blessings! Another fan tweeted about talking to Kit Harington, soon after :

In a follow up reply to the tweet, the fan confirmed that Emilia was present as well. Soon after, another fan account tweeted out a picture of the two:

In this picture, it seems like they’re in the part that has stood for the parts of Beyond the Wall. There’s the obvious question of why Daenerys and Kit could be beyond the Wall, and it’s even more intriguing since we haven’t seen other cast members with them, yet at least.
So, what do you guys think? Any theories? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
