Game of Thrones is filming for the final Season right now, and we have had but one confirmation about the when the show will be back on TV for the final time. HBO has announced that it will be back in 2019, but in a recent interview, Maisie Williams, who plays the role of Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, allegedly revealed that Season 8 of the show will premiere in April 2019. Maisie has now called out the report in a new tweet.
We had talked about the interview here, recently. The interview was from Metro, and in the interview, Maisie is quoted as saying that the final season will film till December 2018, which seemed really odd against other reports about the filming schedule, and she is then quoted as saying Season 8 will go on air in April 2019. The news blew up, obviously, and caught Maisie’s attention, who tweeted saying the report was not accurate. Check it out, below :
Just a tweet letting you know this game of thrones release date “quote” I’ve supposedly given is completely false and taken from an interview I did years ago.

Maisie claims that the quote is completely false, and taken out of context from a really old interview.
HBO hadn’t commented on the reveal, and they’re still silent, so we’re assuming they’ll reveal the exact date sometime in the near future. Until an official statement arrives, let’s try and not get excited about fake news.
