Game of Thrones is midway through filming for Season 8, and it’s safe to say that all of the casting is done already. However, we haven’t gotten updates on all the new roles we had seen the casting notices for, which means the casting news we’re getting now are confirmations to the earlier notices, and looks like we have another, today. Read on!
Young actress Bronte Carmichael has joined the cast of Game of Thrones Season 8. Her agency CV now reflects to update her role on Game of Thrones. The character is listed as Martha, and the director is listed as Miguel Sapochnik, which possibly means she will appear in multiple episodes.
Now, Bronte has been seen before in The Darkest Hour, an Oscar nominated film of the year, and will be seen in Christopher Robin, the upcoming Disney film about Winnie the Pooh. Not only that, she has a part to play in Nightflyers, the upcoming show based on a story by George R. R. Martin. Now her Game of Thrones part is likely to be one we have heard about a few weeks ago, the part of one Northern girl. Here’s what the description read:
“This character is 8-10 years old, was brought up in a family of soldiers, and displays “dauntlessness and integrity.” The role is said to be “very nice stand-out part for a strong-minded young girl with a fighting spirit.”
It will be fun to see a new character, and Bronte is quite talented, so it will be a memorable one. What do you think? Excited to see this character in Season 8? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
